JFK: Reloaded places you in the role of Lee Harvey Oswald and lets you act out the assassination of John F. Kennedy. It’s been argued that it was intended to be a historical simulation that lets you test the plausibility of various theories on how the assassination played out.
Yeah right. JFK: Reloaded looks even less realistic today than it did when it was released three years ago, and the idea that its “accurate” recreation of the assassination has any educational merit, is almost as laughable as the myriad of ridiculous conspiracy theories cooked up by crackpots over the years.
Even if you’re not a fan of Kennedy’s politics, watching Jackie Kennedy stare blankly at her husband’s splattered brains is filled with all kinds of wrong. The game received an overwhelmingly negative reception from the mainstream media when it released on the anniversary of Kennedy’s death, and it’s no wonder.
