The Top 7... Game-Changing Cheats

They say that "clothes make the man." We say that these ridiculously over-the-top bonus clothes, hidden in both God of War games, make Kratos a lot easier to hang around. In case you hadn't noticed, the guy's a bit of an irritable downer. Wah wah, killed my own family, wah wah.

Dress him up like an oversized fish, lactating cow or pot-wielding kitchen chef, however, and he's the life of the party. Look at that bovine laugh! Check out those aquarium dance moves! Wow, is Kratos making us omelets?

His costume trunk also reveals new hobbies, ones that will probably serve Kratos much better in our modern world than his past fetishes for chains, tattoos and questionable facial hair. Scuba diving, corporate business and woman's intuition? Who knew?

To give Kratos some fresh style, you'll need to finish the game and start completing Challenges. The original God of War gives you Dairy Bastard, Chef of War, Tycoonius and Bubbles. The sequel has Cod of War and Athena. Different difficulty levels unlock different costumes, so check our good friend CheatPlanet for the specifics.

"God Mode" is merely a fancy schmancy way of saying "invincibility" in the majority of games, but not in Rise of the Triad. The creators of this ancient DOS shooter interpreted the term quite literally, bestowing players with the wrathful powers of the Almighty him or herself.

Type "dipstick" followed by "toosad" to enable the cheat. Those bored yawns you're hearing? Guess both God and the developers think that wiping out every enemy on screen with absolutely no effort on your part is, well, pretty lame.

Next up... mass violence!

I didn't think that it was too long, I mean, would you complain if a really good book had too many pages? Great article G.R.!!

Jedi Outcast was a GREAT game, but the standard dismemberment (wich included dismemebering hands and/or arms) was JUST OK. But the cheat really added a lot to the experience. IS IT SO F***** HARD TO TRY SOMETHING LIKE THAT ON EVERY STAR WARS GAME??? I was so excited to knoe that I was going to be able to play as a jedi in BFII, but the lightsabers completely sucked! they looked like crap, the beam was even separated from the, well whatever you call the part you grab with your hand (I'm argentinian so I'm kinda missing that word). the didn't dismember absolutely ANYTHING! whenever I killed someone it looked like if I was hitting them with some sort of electrified bat. Jedi Outcast and Academy really were the games that best used lightsabers.

7 pages may be a bit much, but the videos did help. Awesome article as always. *Hurries back back to page 7*

I hate an excessive page count as much as you do, Cynwyddon, so I worked hard to include as many cool image comparisons and videos as possible. Hopefully, I earned your clicks.

Yes, it is another seven pager, but look at all the content per page. There's a lot to justify the length. Love that Pen and Ink mode!

I'm wondering if this is pathetic or not...I actually played much better in COD4 when I had "Ragtime Warfare" on. The speeding up for some reason helped me nail enemies better, and it seemed like I was dodging bullets and slashing people at the speed of sound.
  • Cynwyddon - September 16, 2008 1:06 a.m.

    7 pages... ugh...
  • Smeggs - September 16, 2008 1:03 a.m.

Its incredibly sad when a game played in it's wireframe form looks better than when played in its finished 3-D color form.
  • Curtis_Stone - September 16, 2008 12:37 a.m.

    meh, canine companions was better...
  • Skykid - September 24, 2008 1:22 a.m.
