The plot has the family fully aware that they're actually in a game, and the writers use this as a phenomenal excuse to spoof all of gamedom into oblivion. Clever references to Grand Theft Auto, Katamari, and Street Fighter abound.And in the same mannerthe show'staken the piss out of the Fox Network, theyeven give EA a little well-deserved ribbing.

But the in-jokes don't end at games. For instance, we spotted a visual reference to He-Man, and laughed out loud at Harry Shearer deadpanning lyrics to a They Might Be Giants song.At least the presentation is just as fantastically tongue-in-cheek as the console versions, even if it's been scaled back to DS standards.
