The Skin I Live In
(released this week) sees Banderas reunite with director Pedro Almodóvar for the first time in more than 20 years. He plays Robert Ledgard, a plastic surgeon obsessed with the creation of human skin.
It's hard to say too much without veering into spoiler territory, but it makes for essential viewing. It's a joyfully unconventional horror, and was one of our favourite movies screened at this year's Cannes Film Festival, so go see it!
That's not the last you'll see of Banderas this year though, as he also has roles in
Puss In Boots
, and next year he's rocking up in Steven Soderbergh's star-packed action spectacular
