The Decoy Bride review

As enticing as mouldy shortbread, Sheree Folkson’s wrong-com sees Alice Eve’s hot Hollywood star set to marry her novelist beau (David Tennant) in a secret ceremony on the remote (and made-up) Scottish island of Hegg.

To put the paps off the scent, a decoy bride is enlisted in the shape of brokenhearted local lass Kelly Macdonald. You’ll never guess what happens next…

Predictable, plodding and paltry, Folkson’s film looks cheap and like the mock wedding, nothing in it – especially the emotions – feels real, with the quality cast looking understandably disinterested.
