Japan loves its bagworms but Westerners are largely unfamiliar with these interesting insects. A type of moth larva, bagworms build cases for themselves before pupating out of twigs and other things, and then hang from trees in their bags as they metamorphose into moths. Caught after dousing aromatic trees with sweet honey, Burmy is similar, making it another Pokémon with multiple forms. Depending on where it fought last, this Pokémon will build itself a new case: fighting in green areas will let it cover itself in leaves, while it’ll build itself a case from dirt and rocks in caves, and trash and dust in buildings. Its stats and type stay the same despite its new coat...at least for now.

Males evolve to Mothim at Level 20.
Females evolve to Wormadam at Level 20.
