Gameinformer's review of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is still the strangest thing I've ever seen that magazine do. They gave it a 6, because they said the script was too kiddy, which is odd, since the writing is the same for the rest of that series, which they gave high marks to.

Would love to see a Mario RPG crossover, a bit like Kingdom Hearts but with Sega's mascots. Shouldn't be too much red tape involved, they already make the Mario and Sonic Olympic Games series. Just think of all the wisecracks they could throw in there in relation to their console/mascot wars of the 90's!

Ah Mario, your RPG games never fail to amuse. Great job mentioning Super Paper Mario and sports RPG's, Super Paper Mario is one of my top favorite underrated games, it might not live up to the turn based legacy but it still held up in charm and Dialog which was fantastically not only humorous but the most darkest and Maturest in the series. Mario and Luigi just HAVE to involve being inside something's stomach, Bowletta in SS, That giant Yoob in PIT and now as the major concept in BIS

I did not like Partners in Time, I loved the original Superstar Saga, I have played through it more times than I can count, but PiT? no way. Maybe it had to do with the fact that only the babies got hammers, so if you were separated, and against spiked enemies with the adults, you're only option was to run away. That is not good design, that alone probably ruined the game for me.

I hold Thousand Year Door as one of the best games of all time. Just everything about it is fantastic and Intelligent really played around with what you expect from a game. Rawkhawk is a character I'd love to see make a return. Even though the series is great, I'm still waiting on a sequel in the same vein.

Super Mario RPG is an amazing game. And in my humble opinion, one of the best RPG's of all time.

The original Paper Mario has to be one of my favorite games of all time.I never beat thousand year door though. Got stuck somewhere in that shadow castle dimension place at the end.

Partners in Time was the first Mario RPG I played. Despite the fact that it did do fudge-all with the DS's capabilities, I still thought it was an amazing game and I like it more than Bowser's Inside Story. I don't know why, I just do. Bowser's Inside Story is also a great game but it just didn't resonate with me as much. Kinda hard to describe. I guess I just preferred the way PiT was split into smaller "levels" and conversely I didn't like how BiS's overworld was chunkified to accomodate Bowser. I wonder if AlphaDream will make a fourth entry for the 3DS? I hope so. I prefer handheld RPGs for some reason.

On that support/villain gallery at the end, Bowser's claws or whatever that are on his feet are behind Yoshi, who is smiling with his mouth open, making it look

Geno should make a cameo appearence in Super Mario Galaxy 2. He is from outer space after all.

I own the original SMRPG:Lot7S, it's an awesome game. Too bad the levels only go up to 30. It's the only Mario RPG I own, but I love it as one of the best Mario games ever.
