At one time, Jin was a captain in the Galaxy Federation Special Operation Forces Military Intelligence Unit. He just so happens to be Shion's older brother as well. Rocking a traditional Japanese style - complete with bad-ass katana to slice and dice with - he steps into protect little sis when the going gets rough. Officially, he operates an antique bookstore these days, but that doesn't seem to stop him from lending his sword, piloting skills and bizarre sense of humor to the adventure.
