"That'll be it" - Emilia Clarke reveals when she'll stop playing Dany in Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones season 7 is nearly here and one of its key players has opened up about whether she’ll survive the next seven episodes and make it to the final season. Emilia Clarke (better known as Daenerys) may have committed a big HBO no-no by revealing whether her character will show up down the road – and that includes any spinoffs. Potential spoilers follow…

"I mean, I have no doubt there'll be prequels and sequels and who knows what else. But I am doing one more season [after Game of Thrones season 7] and then that’ll be it." she said during an interview with Rolling Stone.

Uhh, so it sounds like (praise the Lord of Light and the Seven!) that the Mother of Dragons will, at the very least, make it to the final run of episodes. As for not appearing in any spinoffs, I was really looking forward to Keeping Up with the Targaryens…

As for what’s to come in Game of Thrones season 7, Clarke is keeping the cards close to her chest, but had this to offer: “It's a really interesting season in terms of some loose ends that have been tied, some really satisfying plot points, some things where you're like, 'Oh, my God. I forgot about that!'”

See you in season 8, Dany!
