Take A Trip Into Space For Interstellar

Next week, Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan's blockbuster mission to the stars, Interstellar , blasts into UK cinemas.

To celebrate the movie's release, Warner Bros. Pictures have teamed up with the Slooh Community Space Observatory to host an out of this world online event that is free to watch through TotalFilm.com .

At 7pm (UK time) on Sunday 2 November, you're invited to join Slooh for an amazing two-hour journey into space using your computer, tablet or smartphone. You'll be able to view incredible live online feeds from the powerful Slooh space camera based at the Institute of Astrophysics in the Canary Islands. This is a chance to see deep space and explore the wonders of the universe in a one-off broadcast featuring an array of guests including astronomers, science writers and surprise NASA guests. You can also use Twitter (and the hashtag #interstellarspaceevent ) to ask the broadcasters questions and even determine where the space cameras explore.

And here's a bit more about Interstellar :

With our time on Earth coming to an end, a team of explorers undertakes the most important mission in human history: travelling beyond this galaxy to discover whether mankind has a future among the stars. Interstellar features an all-star cast lead by Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine and MacKenzie Foy.
