Grotesque. I can only imagine if this is real, it won't be for much longer. Sometimes you just have to scratch your head and wonder how these things stick to the wall of ideas. Is this how gamers come still come across in this day and age. I am an adult and I prefer to be treated as one, especially in a marketing campaign asking me to dole out hundreds of dollars on whatever it is they are selling.

"And though we may pledge fanboy allegiances to different flags, deep down inside we all serve one master, one king, and his name is GAMING. FOREVER MAY HE REIGN." Remember this? Obviously not. So Jerry Lambert did a commercial for tires that involved a Wii. Big deal. If you're so offended that he made one commercial, you don't deserve him on PlayStation's brand anyway. And this is coming from a PS fan who loves KB.

My view on this is simple, Bethesda has always taken extra money from Microsoft to delay the PS version of its games, so as far a DLC from them goes. They can keep it. If the game looks like a game I will play, I'll buy it but no DLC. If everyone one would do that maybe they would get their asses in gear and put out a product that everyone can enjoy.

I'm not a complete tech hound, but I have a hard time understanding why Bethesda is having this trouble with the Ps3, considering I read an article in Game Informer about the development of the '360's chipset.. Basically the guys looked at their masterpiece, the Cell processor and then improved upon it in a number of ways. Fix this little issue here, add a little more juice in this area, loosen up that little bottleneck there, etc.. Despite whatever tweaks WERE made, the tech was less than 1 year newer than the mighty PS3 processor; not exactly a quantum leap. Besides, I had the PS3 GOTY edition of Oblivion at one point, and ran into ZERO problems.. (Until I realized that they weren't going to bother with the wonderful hideouts and legendary horse armor DLC that the Pc/360 versions got. (partial sarcasm, aimed at horse armor of course.) Oh, well. Time will tell. Stuff Happens. I recommend un-bunching your panties a little bit and reminding yourselves that the Bethesdians are HUMAN, just like the players.

Give us a way to convert our save games and I have wouldn't care if I need to get the PC or Xbox version. But I spent way too many hours playing this game to not get the complete experience. If this doesn't come out or there isn't a alternative I'm never going to spend time with any Bethesda games again. I wouldn't be able to trust them.

Poor poor form indeed. "But you get twice as many coins!" Don't fall for it. I like the concept of Nintendo coins and a company that is actually willing to give something back for market research (not just skimming your data and selling it on the snide), but in the end you still end up spending $400 to get a free Mario tea-towel. Forget all this coin rubbish. It's smoke and mirrors. The real part here is that you are buying a game that you cannot re-sell and cannot lend to your friends and family. That is a monumental downgrade for me in terms of value. Both me and my partner have 3DS consoles and likewise share a library of games, just playing them at different times. So whilst she's playing Starfox 64 i'm polishing off Ocarina and so & so forth. With download titles the thing is trapped on your machine. Unless we wanted to keep swapping bloody consoles all the time the whole thing is just a pain in the arse. Download games would have to have at least a 50% mark down from the physical retail versions to make them even mildly appealing to me. Otherwise i'm just paying the same (or more in this case) for a vastly inferior product. Companies everywhere are saving a fortune with digital distribution yet are not passing these savings on the consumers. Things like the Humble Bundle are the antithesis of this and make me proud to be a gamer. People don't mind paying for quality but don't take the piss. Otherwise you open yourself up to remorseless piracy... Oh well at least there's Angry Birds coming out on DS at $29.99 (a 99c appstore title) The curtain is falling...

What a bummer! I was really looking forward to obtaining 3DS games directly through the E-shop so I don't have to pay some middle-man like gamestop or amazon and I wont have to swap cartridges. I knew that Nintendo wouldn't offer the titles at a discount... but to charge more is crazy! They save money by distributing the title digitally and 100% of the profit returns to them. For shame Nintendo, for shame. I'll more than likely be ordering the game from Amazon now. The golden pin Gamestop is offering sounds nice, but I'm not a fan of Gamestop and the offer is online only.

Who cares how much more!? They are charging Much More Money when it OBVIOUSLY saves them more to do it digitally. No middle man, on their own server, on their own system, no packaging, PLUS there is no chance of used sales and they charge MORE!?

Limbo = trial and error, which makes for a poor game. I don't understand the love for it, there is no story beyond 'man looks for sister'. It doesn't even look good, it's just black and fucking white! Limbo is the Nirvana of the gaming world, and the sooner it puts a shotgun in its overrated mouth the better.

Trolling? Anyway, it is not trial and error, or at least not the way you think of it. Instead, you have to figure out whats going on and actually think to find a solution. It requires intelligence, not just the ability to try something over and over again. And trial and error makes a poor game? Have you played Super Meat Boy? Black and white was a stylistic choice, similar to Schindler's List, emphasizing the depression and utter decay of Limbo. I know I come across as an arty prick right now, but its a good game, fun to play and emotional. (Also, are you saying its a good thing Kurt Cobain committed suicide?)

I'm with sam here, for a franchise as big as HMV this kind of thing really shouldn't be an issue. Even if they didn't get any pre-release information from Nintendo, or any marketing help from their head offices, then they should still have someone in the building who's industry-savvy enough to either know the details, or piece them together from the details released. Anyone who listens to the GRUK podcast has known this information for weeks, and its not our bloody job to know.
