720p trailers bugged me to no end - especially with games that were available also for PC. Guess those rocking 1440p monitors are not yet satisfied.

If you actually think that games are gonna be rendered at 1080p with the next consoles, then you're probably mistaken. There's always more things you can do with lighting, and developers would rather have eye candy than resolution or framerate.

Technically they are, as the AnvilNext engine was obviously built with next-gen consoles in mind, and I'm almost certain the footage shown here was running on a high-end PC or PS4. There's no way that current-gen consoles could run the game at those standards.
