Take a 3D Zelda game, add God of War's combat (with a dash of DMC), throw in some PoP traversal, and wrap it all up in a art style that blends WoW with Warhammer, and you have Darksiders. Take all that, turn it all up to 11, and add Diablo's loot system, and you've got Darksiders 2. I cannot wait for this.

I'm glad they've maintained the atmosphere and complexity. When I had heard that they were releasing a sequel, I was afraid that they would dumb it down. Thank goodness they didn't.

Cosmo is also in '2081', mind you, in that movie the government has done everything in their power to prevent him from being badass. Nice short (about thirty minutes) movie all the same.

And for god sake when will that stupid autoplay of the E3 videos be turned off? It's annoying as hell when opening multiple articles in different tabs!

This is EXACTLY the type of preorder bonus every game should have. If Borderlands 2 did this, I'd buy it immediately. As it stands, I'll just wait until the inevitable GotY edition. With steam sales, a little patience goes a long way, and developers who still want preorders need to start doing more things like this that make you feel like committing to their product.

I think any sort of seasonal pass is the best way to turn your favorite developer into a liability. You pay for a "great deal" but since they already have your money, they could just as well say "screw it". Anyway, their just going to coheres you into renewing, let alone increase bad consumer favored business practices.
Oh well... A few will ruin the industry for the rest of us... Good thing I'm starting to clutch back on gaming. It's been going downhill for me as of late..

And just like that my interest in this game has gone down. After the bullshit fiasco that was SRT DLC I can't trust THQ anymore. I'll probably still end up buying it but chances are I will just wait until it goes down in price.

This year blows.
So I guess now they aren't going to fix any of the problems of 3 and not incorporate more of the parts that reached their peak in 2 (like the clothing system and the activities).
So we are now going to get a rushed sequel so THQ can put off bankruptcy for another year.
Thanks Rubin, you fucking asshole

MY ranting isn't an attack on you, I figure I can just get my intended comment in as well as provide insight to you. What's bogus about this is that EtD has already been MARKETED. Seriously, what kinda company says expansion coming this Fall.... lolnvm NEXT GAME!! And EtD was supposed to be in VR as to cater to all the demand for powers and what not. So like.. is the next entry in the main story gonna be about Aliens and VR?...
For an expansion to cater to the people who just love the superwhacky saturday morning cartoon ver of GTA, ok, whatever. But this series started off as a totally grounded and competent story that rivaled GTA... heck most anything. And the new dev team that was brought in for III somehow got the idea that because 2 had septic vandalism and riding through explosives in a flame suit as side activities, that the entire direction of the plot is practically something I'd expect to see on Adult Swim.
Yeah, I know i sound like a whiny *****, but there's as many people who have stuck with this franchise for the plot and writing as there are who just wanna run around naked with a giant dildo because they can. So it's the false marketing and plot deterioration that piss me off as someone who's been loyal to this franchise. "ok don't buy Saints Row 4" I may, I may not, but hey I wanted that expansion because the context was coherent enough. So if they're going to go back on their marketing and develop ANOTHER full game when they're really not even in a financial position to.... all I can say is good luck with that, and good luck with trying to explain Aliens and VR in a gangland drama.
tl;dr Volition's new team needs a reality check. This isn't how you treat your fans, infact it's downright pathetic. The expansion was essentially going to offer fans what was already on the III disc but only accessible via DLC and lasted all of 5 mins through one mission as if the whole thing never happened. =Now they're saying :sorry we're gonna push that back and charge you full price for it, sue us."
Just wow...

This looks awesome. Still I hope CoH3 (because I think so far into the future it's just silly) or whatever they want to call it goes to a modern setting. Imagine all of this technology going into the modern world (the real reason is because I can't find in modern RTS that seem to be as good as CoH).

Let's just hope Relic doesn't do what they ALWAYS do with RTS, the original CoH included, and ruin it with expansions.

True, suppression was in the original, but maybe it will work differently in this game. The article says that you will lose control of your units when they are suppressed. In the original game, it was still possible to control your units when they were pinned down, even if the only command they would actually follow was the retreat command. It sounds like in this game, units in will be completely uncontrollable.
