sandraudiga As wise as it is for Nintendo to sidestep this issue, the fact that it IS an issue is pathetic.

Make fun of Germany all you want, but we all know every "modern" country to date has abolished something silly and ignorant due to biblical reasoning. Let's blame a game with nothing close to real blood or feces except half drawn depictions.

I'm afraid I have to call "Bullshit". I am from Germany and I have been watching the USK and their exploits for a while... and I can assure you, there's no way TBoI got its rating because of "occult themes". There are pretty clear rules, which kind of content justifies which rating-and "occultism" isn't even mentioned. It's clearly because of the blood and shit and disturbing creatures luring down there. Honestly, would you want your younger sibling to play TBoI? Furthermore, we saw Persona 3 here in Germany. Rating? You need to be 12 years old in order to be legally allowed to buy it. And censorship which reminds you of previous exploits? Well, at least we get to see some boobies over here... Greetings from Germany

Finally! Good on them, they totally deserved it. I STILL haven't finished even the LIHGT world thanks to it's crushingly hard difficulty, but, after downloading Binding of Isaac earlier this week, I'm glad to see they haven't removed it. games today, I find, can be FAR too easy, except for things like Nightmare difficulty etc; which I never feel are fair or balanced. Team Meat have the balance just right, and they deserve every award they earn :D

I don't mind the trailer - manipulative music aside - I'm just confused as to when the SNES controller became the poster controller for the indie gaming movement.

Obligatory how? I'm actually not one to throw the word "pretentious" but look at that trailer well. look at the shots they have of the creator of braid, sitting against light so only his silhouette is outlined and tell me it's not a pretentious shot. I don't think anyone here is actually ragging against indie games themselves. What annoys me personally, is the attitude of their creators, and the "They are such great, hardworking, undervalued genuises!" tone of the entire trailer. Indie games have humble beginnings, so their creators should also be humble, not portray themselves as martyrs.
