Just so everyone is aware, this is an article about a Season Pass, not the used games industry. Just putting that out there. Having said that, I don't have a problem paying for a season pass as long as it's worth it. If I am paying $50 for a season pass, you damn well better be putting something new out EVERY month. As for used games and saying that you should have to pay full price for a game; that's just plain asinine. Like I said, I have know problem paying for games that I think are worth it, but a lot of the time, I am able to afford those games by selling my old ones. If I wasn't able to sell those used games, do you know how many of the greats I would miss out on? You can say that it's stupid reasoning, but not everyone can just simply afford every new game that comes out, even after saving up there money. In the past 6 months, I have purchased Forza 4, Batman: Arkham City, Borderlands, Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, Sonic Generations, NBA 2k12, Dead Space 2, and even the COD Elite. I bought every single one of these games at new price and I was able to afford it by selling my old ones. If I had not been able to do this, I would have probably gotten one or two of these games. Publishers need to either lower the prices of their games or console prices need to be lowered. Getting rid of used games and continuing with the current prices is just asking for a huge profit loss.

Derp All I want to do is pay less and get everything! How dare these people create an incentive to actually purchase their games!
Really people, they aren't withholding significant portions of the game. When they start taking out 50% of the game, then you have a right to complain but until then if you want every last thing in these games you better start saving.. This coming from a jobless 17 year old.

This, unfortunately, is probably the best we can hope for going forwards. I gave the NBA Jam: On Fire Edition DLC (pay to purchase Jambucks, iOS style) a lot of grief, but at least if the content is accessible via grinding, it's not so bad. "diligent play will allow all events and gear to be unlocked via Explore points, which can still be earned without a Pass."
The trickier parts are when they actually remove content from Used Games, i.e. the significant Catwoman portions of Arkham City.

This is the first SSX trailer/video I've seen that's not got me pumped for the game for a few reasons:
- That course looked really linear considering there were multiple paths in previous games. I was looking out for the billboards and fences to smash through but I couldn't see anything really.
- As tomasspipass below says, the player only fell off the board once. Even when they were hitting trees head-on they just sort of bounced off. And when they did bump into things, did anyone notice how little difference it made to the health bar? Suddenly the Deadly Descents don't seem so deadly.
- The whole run was finished in less than 3 minutes. I was expecting each of the 9 descents to be a free-flowing ride down a level as huge as one of the mountains from SSX3 but this one seemed like more of an individual track.

I thought the same to an extent, but at two points the dev mentions "explore mode" a seperate mode from the one he showed off in this video. I'm hoping that this is the descent mode that we all wanted to see.
Also, on the issue of falling off the board, I think it's too early to make a judgement anyway, after all, he did only crash about three times in that video, and he bailed one of those times. I seem to remember that in the previous SSXs you would rarely fall of your board as well, and if you did, you could quickly hammer X/A to get up while retaining your momentum.
I'm really looking forward to this. I've only one gripe, the boarder never falls over. In the three videos if [...]
I'm really looking forward to this. I've only one gripe, the boarder never falls over. In the three videos if they hit a cliff face they just bounce of and keep boarding. I'm concerned taking away this punishment is following a trend of easier games over the years to appeal to a wider audience. It should not be a big problem though as hitting a cliff wall will still slow you down preventing you from getting a perfect run, a punishment in itself. This was noted in an earlier gamesradar article. WHat do you guys think?

This looks absolutely insane! I haven't been more excited for a game for quite some time. I could, however, see the song "Tricky" becoming annoying, like when "Paradise City" came on every single time you booted up Burnout Paradise. Also, I didn't notice the bass dropping out when you make a big jump, a feature that they promised and one that I loved in previous games in the series.

Seeing as SSX Tricky is the only game I played (besides playing SSX 3 in multiplayer a little, and sucking) this makes me more excited for the new game than I was before. Not a day one purchase, but I'll get it shortly after it releases for sure.

That was a badass trailer... while showing actual game play. Crazy, isn't it?

I'd gladly endure a short delay like this to get a finished product. It seems that too often, publishers allow games to get released unfinished because they can just put out a Day 1 patch. It seems EA actually cares about game quality.
Also, I love that they brought back The Worm for Eddie.

Plus, now I wont get in trouble for ignoring my girlfriend on Valentine's Day.
