      I'm happy this version gets shut down, but I hope eventually something gets done about piracy. Its a serious issue for many developers. Piracy needs to be explained as stealing not "getting something for free". Too many of my friends call it getting a game for free not, stealing them. Overall, SOPA should be seirously modified, but a new, more lenient version should also be created.

      My only argument against pirating is simple... they're a good way to screw up your system and have no one to hold accountable but yourself. Internet censorship is not the answer though. Granted, neither are the endless user agreements, with an infinite number of addendums.

      This reminds me of what happened to my country (Greece) a few years ago. They wanted to eliminate the illegal gambling machines problem and to do so... they banned video games entirely! All arcade stores closed immediately (never to come back), most internet cafes (where games like counterstrike was played) faced police raids and busts. Even playing a game on your console or PC was illegal (but it was not illegal to BUY games, it was illegal to play them therefore videogame stores didn't close). I remember internet cafe owners and protestors demanding several public services and goverment buildings to be banned as well because they had PCs with windows and windows have those build in games inside them... Talk about the most stupid law ever existed. Thankfully it doesn't exist anymore (at least not in the shape it was). I really hate this way of thinking. If your finger hurts cut off your arm, right? Such a simple and easy way to solve your problem if you are a non thinking person (like most governors are).

      All together, I really hate when companies distance themselves to save their reputation, but do not disagree with the thing all together in order to get the results. I understand wanting to "refine" it, but there is nothing to "refine" about a censorship bill. If you were to strip the parts out that was not censorship from what I see, then we would have a bill that does exactly what normal laws allow. It would be best to scrap it, and start over again. Get rid of all the bad rep while doing so to boot.

      The only, ONLY, joy I could derive from this completely idiotic and poorly written bill is if it takes effect. To watch all these companies and developers, big and small, die and/or wither because there won't be FAP's, no streams, no community promos at all. And to watch the really big ones that signed on for this thing go 'Man we really fucked ourselves over with this SOPA thing didn't we?'
