One less reason to buy a PS4. What the heck is Sony thinking? The GT series is a Sony flagship. Killzone is a fine franchise but it's really not a killer app. GT6 is. Launching this on old hardware will be GREAT for Polyphony Digital as the PS3 will have a larger installed user base but this will stop a lot of people from getting a PS4.
I'm willing to bet quite a bit that Forza 5 will be announced at the same time as the new X-Box and that it will be a day one launch title. Both franchises have strengths and weaknesses but both are killer apps that need to be handled properly and while I'm not a Turn10 fan, they're doing a better job of pushing the sim-racing genera forward.

Okay, I see that you're now again just trolling for the sake of trolling. I guess that disliking the vita an owning a 3DS further cement me being an obvious Sony Fanboy and a Nintendo hater *eyerolls*
Whatever, it was nice chatting with you while you were being actually sorta rational!

Nice to see Sony's getting it's shit together around online distribution. Nice to see the call-out to sample bias, it's little journalistic touches like that which keep me coming back to this site.

It makes perfect sense to me. If you want portability, digital is the perfect way to carry all your games with you. I don't have a Vita yet but all my 3DS games were downloaded.

I own several Vita games, and all but two of them are digital; and one of those two came with the system. The 32 GB stick is highly convenient and makes switching between games simple and fast. If you can afford to buy it, there's no reason not to.

Not sure about the 1080p comment. You said most, but not 100%, are in 1080p. Yes, most, in fact all of my games, UPSCALE to 1080p, but there are only a handful that are native 1080p, which looks better by the way. We need 100% of games native 1080p not upscaled, as pretty much all of them are upscaled 1080p now. Perhaps not for PS3 as its upscaler's not quite as good but if you have a full HD television it should upscale them anyway with no problem. Also on the graphics subject, we definitely need consistently high frame rates. Also, we need devs to spend more time when they port games from xbox to PS, assuming it'll be the same next gen, otherwise the playstation's graphics will be inferior again despite having the better specs.

#43 - To a very large extent, the Wii U already has this in place.
Michael Haveri of Frozenbyte Games - “Simply put they’ve told us that there are no basic payments for each patch (which were pretty high on most platforms) and that we can update our game almost as much as we want. For indie developers this is huge.”

David Houghton, I have said it before and I will merrily say it once again, I love you, and I usually never, ever find it in me to disagree with you. But as for point numbers 28 and 35 (slides 29 and 36 respectively), in which you say "Using analogue sticks to play 2D platformers just isn't the same," and comment on a dearth of platformers by mentioning Braid, Limbo, and Fez; continuing by saying "Don't let Nintendo take all the credit for keeping them alive again..."
Come on now, Dave. I know you're better than that. You have heard of a little game called Super Meat Boy, right? And another, not-quite-so-little game called Rayman Origins? Silly Dave. It's okay, you of all people can be excused for being forgetful. I don't hold it against you or anything. :)

Eh... the idea is nice, but meh. I checked the articles from "The Koalition" site, and came back pretty unimpressed. The articles feel like they are written by amateurs pretending to be professional journalists rather than the real thing, their focus of the article is very narrow, and didn't present any kind of tangible neutrality, or consideration of other factors.
And I don't really consider myself super picky when it comes to stuff like this, but I dunno, reading those articles felt like I was reading some random dude's personal blog rather than a professional site.

Yeah even if wiiu sales are down right now I won't listen to anything that makes claims something is the next dreamcast in the period it isn't getting games in. Heck 3ds had about 8 months of nothing and look at it now. it would be stupid to make large claims like this after only 3 months(PS3 also floundered for its first few years and Playstation is still around). if you wanted to make that statement about anything it would be Vita which has been out for a year and only has one short original game to its name (Gravity Rush) even the other system seller is a port(P4G). Also there is the whole thing of Nintendo having money to last them decades, so no they won't dreamcast themselves, if anyone is going to leave the console race its mircosoft not Nintendo.

If you seriously think Nintendo has more overall money than Microsoft, you need to get a reality check. As misguided MS might seem at the moment, it would take at least two consecutive console flops for them to pull the plug, I bet.
And the thing with the Wii is just not the lack of games right now, but with the Next gen consoles finally being announced, and coming up not that far in the future, pretty much any non-hardcore Nintendo fan is probably going to be looking forward to the shiny true next gen, rather than the current graphic quality the Wii U is offering. That's why it keeps being compared to the dreamcast for a reason, both consoles feel like an intermediate step between the old gen while the true next gen arrives.
Even so, I agree that it probably won't be enough to make Nintendo go the way of Sega just yet, the bastards have survived pretty bad spots in the past, after all.

I think this game streaming service is sony's plan on limited used games, I don't think that they will implement anything to block used games, like how everyone rumored. but I think the ease of use from this streaming service might get people away from physical games which will limit used games. It would be smart move by sony, and somewhat similar to Valve's philosophy on piracy.

Sounds fair. I mean, for one, it's nice to see they aren't elevating the price cap, and the fact taht they are mentioning prices as low as 99. cents is a good thing, minis or otherwise.
