      I'm stuck in Episode 1, although it's probably just a common case of dumbassery on my part. Either way, I hope I can finish it before Episode II comes out so I can check it out without the nagging feeling that I need to finish Episode 1 first.

      Looking good, Sonic :D Once I got over my nostalgia-fueled rage, I started to really like Sonic 4 and Generations. Change can be good, If other characters can get away with it, then why not Sonic? I mean, if people love him as much as they claim to, you'd think they would be a little more open. Bring on Episode 2!

      About 15, that's a misunderstanding about Sonic that caused a lot of the gameplay problems in the "modern" series. Team sonic put way too much focus on speed when what made Sonic good was that it was a solid platformer. Heck, going super fast wasn't even done until Sonic 3 complete and it wasn't even a focus. Adventure 1 did show that you can still do platforming in 3D, but then they went to a "speedspeedspeedspeed" focus. It wasn't really until Sonic colors that they showed you can do both well and even switch between the two smoothly.

      The fact that they are showing that they're listening to fans goes a long way. They could of cancelled the franchise but they didn't, they could of given us an episode II with the same graphics engine and physics engine but they didn't. They trying to give the fans what they want and I for one appreciate it. Yeah they may of missed the mark with the first instalment but it was still an enjoyable Sonic game (which I was a bit obsessed over). I loved the Genesis Sonics too having spent my entire childhood mastering them. To have such a pompous critical approach to such a postive improvement is simply bad journalism dude. You're saying they don't show enough, is that too little too late? I think you're just being spoilt and over demanding. Why not appreciate that there's a Sonic Team who are trying to actually improve the experience and going the the fans rather than going against the grain. Yes Sonic Generation gave us a nice nostalgic nod to the past and improved modern Sonics gameplay somewhat, but what it didn't do is give us any evolement in levels or gameplays. Something that Sonic 4 aimed to do, and did pretty well. Sorry for ranting.

Maybe because of the reception they are forced to improve episode two because since this is episodic form they can't sell us an entire game and be done with it. A lot of people (like me) learned their lesson and will not be purchasing episode 2 regardless of changes. As for listening to their fans?......yeah right. Why the fuck is there Big the Cat and fucking Shadow with his own game? Please refer to Metacritic if you think the last 4-5 Sonic games have been made with their "fans" in mind. (Barring Generations of course)

      I really hope that SEGA releases new levels as DLC for Sonic Generations. I enjoyed the game overall, but the first three levels were definitely the best. I'd love to see more re-imagined Genesis levels like Icecap Zone, Oil Ocean Zone, Hydrocity Zone, and maybe even Lava Reef Zone.

      @NotBraze Completely agree with you there, man! I was pretty disappointed that there wasn't a Sonic 3 level. I know Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles are basically part 1 and 2, but Sega chose to released them separately! Personally I think Launch Base would be amazing to do. Whole new levels would be a stretch though... A lot of work went into the 9 we got and I doubt they'll have the resources to do the same scale for DLC. So mini-levels/games based on memorable levels is what we're in for I reckon.

      Sadly, the notion that you can't predict what Sega will do with Sonic is too true. Maybe they'll bring Classic Sonic back, maybe they won't, maybe they'll make a Shadow the Hedgehog sequel and a handheld LCD Big the Cat fishing game with the money they make from Generations. It's sad. Regardless, I'm looking forward to picking up Generations.
