The eSports stuff was lost on me since I consider such things a complete joke. I felt a little put off that a lack of subscription somehow seemed to justify the $60 price tag according to Brian, or at least that's how it seemed. This smacks of exploitation. They have a terrific IP, and rather than treating the fans respectfully, with full-fledged games with complete sequels, they break up a single game to exploit their fans for more cash. no, one doesn't have to buy these, but it doesn't make it any less exploitative. For me it's extra sad, because I really loved Starcraft, but I refuse to be milked for that. A battle-chest of some sort in about 2-4 more years or so will probably be the only way I will ever play these. As it stands I've got far too much personal integrity to let myself be taken advantage of this way. Sorry Brian, I have to disagree with most of your point.

Except it's not 1 game split into 3 really, is it? Did you even play the first one? The campaign, on brutal, is 12 hours+ for someone with an average skill with SC. Paying base price for a game with a campaign over 12 hours long, and no multiplayer, is normal nowadays. Throw in an addictive multiplayer and it's a bargain (well, except Blizzards pricing is a little higher than most). Also, top-tier Starcraft is incredibly fun to watch, even without an MLG sub. Just use Youtube, and watch Day9, the greatest gaming personality evar.

@Thedigitalg: Agreed! I'd also go so far as to compare Starcraft 2 to Harry Potter. Each movie is essentially a chapter in one large book. Fans paid full price for every book and movie ticket with a smile on their face. @Icehearted: That's ok man, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Would I be happy if it were only $40? Hell yeah! Would I still buy it if it were $60? Absolutely! To each their own. =D

This looks awesome. Still I hope CoH3 (because I think so far into the future it's just silly) or whatever they want to call it goes to a modern setting. Imagine all of this technology going into the modern world (the real reason is because I can't find in modern RTS that seem to be as good as CoH).

Suppression isn't new, it's a vital feature of the original game. Let's just hope Relic doesn't do what they ALWAYS do with RTS, the original CoH included, and ruin it with expansions.

True, suppression was in the original, but maybe it will work differently in this game. The article says that you will lose control of your units when they are suppressed. In the original game, it was still possible to control your units when they were pinned down, even if the only command they would actually follow was the retreat command. It sounds like in this game, units in will be completely uncontrollable.
