I played about twenty minutes into the demo and could not have been more bored. I found the game play was pretty slow but even worse the graphics looked completely washed out.I get that it is supposed to be after nuclear war but games like Rage have shown you can have a wasteland with more then 3 colors.

Pro Journalism Tip: If you're going to mention a free version of the game, clarify which one it is. There is nothing in that paragraph to properly identify whether it's PS3 or PSV, so I had to Google.

What's up with people typing as if they have a speech implement? I loved Skate 1,2 and 3 but Tony Hawk games are still kings. Sure, ride sucked big time but bring it back to the roots and you'll be rolling in dough again, Tony.

There is no missing the point. Only getting the point and thinking it's utterly ridiculous. Flower was pretty, it was clever... it had no gameplay worth speaking of and no replay value. You can try assigning worth to a game's artistic merits, but when it comes down to it, it's just not that much of a game.

Man, just last week I was thinking about how much I'd like to play a new Jet Set Radio game. At the very least, getting to play the old one again would be pretty awesome. ...or I could hook up my Dreamcast and play it anyway.

Journey has to be the most greatest game I have played in my life. I have never felt this connected to a game since I beat Kingdom Hearts 1 a couple of years ago. This game not only gives you impressive visuals and a captivating adventure, it lets you share this simply amazing experience with a friend who was a complete and total stranger just three minutes before meeting. I cannot stress enough how much I love this game. I LOVE this game. The only complaint I have about this game is that it is definitely TOO SHORT but you know what...WHO CARES?! It's amazing! I've come to the conclusion that if the opportunity arose and the science were available that would permit me to have this game's child, I would in a heartbeat...Okay maybe two heartbeats...Ahhh whatever...You get my point. Greatest. Game. Ever.

A thought; having watched you guys play the game (thus negating any urge to buy the bloody thing, unless my version comes with Mikel, Charlie, Henry and Coop) is there any merit in some developer making a sequel of sorts, with the "feel" of this game, but updated locations / characters / plot etc. so it doesn't feel quite so generic? And then the TV series can die a "terrible, terrible death". In my mind, the series ended about 10 years ago; if I accidentally catch a new one, it feels like a spin-off series with the new characters in. Essentially a Cleveland Show of itself. Anyway, rant over.

I take it that both Gamesradar and everyone else has figured out after installing the latest FM that PSN isn't going anywhere? SEN is your global account name, it doesn't replace the PSN. I expect IGN to go off an report things without fact checking GR. You should be ashamed!

PSN, SEN, PENS, PENIS. It's all the same. Piss-poor "free" version of Xbox Live. What is with Japan and their "don't give a fuck" attitude towards online gaming? Nintendo with the DS and Wii, Sony with the PS3. Just ridiculous, barebones, outdated systems.

Yeah, Steam sales are fucking amazing. So are the Humble bundles which is where I picked up VVVVVV and Super Meat Boy and Shank and others for $6. I just wish that they would have sales instead of mostly fixed prices. How about a Winter or Spring of Sales to sell the Summer of Arcade games at a slight discount.

Gotta say Henry, I'm a little disappointed with this article. We gamers are tight enough as it is, we really don't need the people we respect in the press egging us on. I live in London, so can only go by sterling, but I feel 800 points (£7) is a cheap, or at least very reasonable price for a piece of non-essential entertainment. Cheaper than your average trip to the cinema, price of a gig, DVD or a few pints down the pub. 1200 points is hardly breaking the bank either. There are so many decent, medium-sized developers getting closed down at the moment and if we start complaining about spending 15 dollars on the things we love I don't know where we're heading. Also, almost all XBLA games have a demo. It's much easier to decide if the games worth spending the money on. You don't always get that with boxed games which are a far bigger investment and not necessarily of a higher quality.

Certain games are worth $15. Most aren't. I wait for a price cut. I only paid $8 for Bastion and Renegade Ops...partly because i upgraded my xbox - 20GBs (really 13GBs) doesn't get you too far when games are more that 150MBs. So I jumped at the Bastion price cut, as well as the Renegade Ops. I was not willing to pay $15 for Renegade Ops, especially when Steam was offering buy 2 get 1 free, which was basically $10 per copy, which I would have done if MS had a gifting system in place. I would have paid $30 to get it and give two copies away. Pity MS isn't that innovative.
