      I love my PCs but I find it hard to compare the experience with my consoles. I remember growing up patching everything, tweaking this and that to get games to play, and dreading the games that would not like my video card for some reason. I recently bought a PC that I could easily upgrade for Diablo III but aside from Abobo's big adventure and buying a bunch of cheap games on Steam that sit in my owned games tab, I don't really play my PC. I like turning on my console, putting in the game, installing if it's something I am really serious about, and playing. The patching and the tweaking and the unpleasentness is all taken care of. Unless it is free, completely out of left field, or PC exclusive I simply don't have the time or money to stay on top of PC gaming.

      I think either consoles need to become more free or pcs need to become cheaper. I'm buying a pc for gaming.. Now I know it's not as much if you build your own but buying a premade pc for gaming is expensive.. The day I can buy a pc for 600$ that is already built and plays everything on ultra I'll be a happy man.

      I was thinking about the increasing prices of console hardware for the manufacturers the other day. If they already sold the PS3 and 360 at release not making any profits, can you imagine the next gen ones? I think this is the biggest reason they want this generation to last for long, they will need quite some money to make the new hardware prices lower than they should, since the big money comes from the royalties of gaming sales. It's also something quite interesting, I don't think there will be a crash or anything but maybe the focus won't be on graphics in the future but in digital stores, selling games directly from the networks and so on.

      The video shown in the article is a target render video of modified Unreal 3 engine footage. It is to give an idea to the industry about what Epic has planned for Unreal 4 and what they expect next gen games to look like. This isn't meant for users but other developers. It was shown at last years GDC (game developers (not players) conference). Unreal 4 engine should be shown at this years GDC. It again will be demonstrating features of the engine for the purpose of other developers. Not regular gamers. Why is this so hard for you guys to understand? They aren't showing off a new game. They are trying to get the industry excited about their new engine so they can then sell that engine to other devs.

So, basically... a YEAR OLD video of an engine that is NOT actually Unreal Engine 4, can accurately demonstrate what another engine will look like? Right...

    Microsoft/Sony: No new consoles in 2012

      Geez, all these people are so narrow minded. I don't like it when someone says that the newest game out is "the best game ever". But I also don't like it when people say all the good games were on the old consoles. To the point, I prefer the console format, I have both an Xbox 360 and a PS3, and I do favor my PS3 for larger game variety and a controller setup I'm familiar to, but favor my xbox for a superior online experience (i.e. Final Fantasy on the PS3, CoD on my Xbox.) I just don't see why there's such a big push for next gen systems. More power is all that we can really do at this point. Anything smaller then that can be done with online updates and new software or hardware in the case of PS Move and Kinect. Loading screens have been a reality for as long as I can remember, and although sometimes annoying (I'm looking at you Fallout) it isn't a huge issue to me. I'm not saying we shouldn't make a next gen, I'm saying we are capable of much better, this is true, but what good is a super system that costs a fortune to buy and make and it doesn't have any software that can use it to it's full potential? People already complain enough that games take too long to release. Reality check, they'll take even longer to release if the formats are more complex. All I'm saying is be patient, they'll come out eventually, wait a few months and you'll all be able to scream like school girls at the next E3 when Sony/Microsoft introduce their next gen systems.
