I would just like to point out that "28 Days Later" is itself arguably a film adaptation of John Wyndham's book "The Day of the Triffids", with zombies in place of extraterrestrial christmas trees : Wake up in hospital, find the world has gone to hell, round up survivors, get help from a military group. But zombies !

You've just described the plot of a whole lot of post apocalyptic films... A bit too tenuous, in my opinion. The blindness and the plants are sort of key to Triffids. Anyway, in the book the Triffids were very much terrestial and the blindness was caused by an unknown source (hinted to be government weapons).

I wouldn't call it a remake or an adaptation, but they definitely have common story threads. Kind of interesting given that they are both UK productions. I was actually unaware that Triffids was a novel up until writing this piece. It's strange that the blindness would be caused by something other than the plants or the meteor shower. The whole thing with the Triffid invasion is that it would have been rather either to combat if not for them destroying two things we take for granted: sight and social order. May have to check this book out.

I completed Mass Effect 3 a few weeks ago, a really enjoyed the storyline and the themes of sacrifice and friendship throughout the game's story. Although, having a great story, the free roam doesn't really feel like a true free roam, as mentioned before in other user's comments, the lack of truly explorable worlds the detail of options available to do in these worlds, gives Mass Effect 3 a very short "shelf-life". After gaining most of the achievements and completing the side quests to gain greater war assets for the ending, I grew very bored of the game and struggled to find anything to do. In short, very good story which really captures the drama and emotion you experience throughout the game, however, dull free roam and lack of interesting and difficult side-quests, make Mass Effect 3, a play in between big releases game.

The extended ending still fails to fix the real problems, and as the name suggests simply makes it longer. The endless focus on the finale also detracts from the other, perhaps bigger issues that the game has, such as lack of real sidequests, explorable worlds and vehicles which still leave it feeling, unfinished, messy and badly written.

As long as it doesn't beat duke nukem at it. I can't imagine what could be taking them so long to do, but as good as their games are it honestly only makes me more excited about it. They won't release a game that's broken, that's for sure.

The negatives I would disregard. A puzzle is meant to be hard but the difficulty changes based on the person. As to the controller, seek anger management. Lastly, could be played on a browser, it would be a negative if the PS3 version used the same maps but they do not thank god lol.

Pro Journalism Tip: If you're going to mention a free version of the game, clarify which one it is. There is nothing in that paragraph to properly identify whether it's PS3 or PSV, so I had to Google.

I am honesty a huge MLB 2k fan, but this game SUCKS!!! Seriously, Its not realistic at all, the way the players swing looks aweful, it doesn't even look like they are swinging, it just looks like they are just sticking the bat out there. Even worse, I constantly have to keep changing the difficulty of how fast the players run or how hard the position players throw, they should all throw/run the same speed relative to how they're ratings are in real life. And the worst part is that there is choppy frame work at time, Its truly a shame to how this game turned out, why is it that NBA 2K12 is 10x better when they are made by the SAME EXACT PEOPLE. Look at MLB 2K7, NOW THAT GAME WAS AMAZING!!! They're jersey moved as they were playing and relative to the weather patters, it rained during the games sometimes, the players looked as real as they can be and it was completely better than MLB The show by far, ever since then the only good game you had was 2k10, that game was good but not as good as 2k7. The only good asset this game has is MY PLAYER ORGANIZATION. That is the only fun part about the game, I play it all the time and I do not stop. Please step it up next year or you guys are going to loose your fan base, and all your going to sell is the SHOW, which is only for PS3 and I only have a 360

and also, the way the ball moves when it comes off the bat shouldn't be slow, it should move the same speed as relative have it is in real life. Also the make the all-star game more realistic, During the game make the players wear the same jersey as the team they are representing, not an American League Jersey or a National League Jersey, make it look similar to how it is in real life

Just for the Record. I have a Ps3, Pc, iPad 3. I play my iPad 3 the most! There are thousands of games for the iPad 3 including FPS, MMOs, RPGs, action, simulation, racing etc. You name it! It's there! Have a look at order and chaos for an MMO that is a WOW clone, that has depth and lasting play and is as cheap as chips. Playstation are yet to match that on a portable. The iPad can simulate buttons or even have some additional hardware like iCade for real buttons, or for the iPhone an accessory that makes the phone just like a handheld made by the same people. The iPad has emulators of c64, turbo graphix 16, Amiga games, Atari, pinball, Sinclair spectrum etc. Playtation where are you on this? This doesn't even need much processing power. the games on iOS beat a consoles games in price hands down all the time and in fact some games gain popularity on iOS and then later port to ps3. Just because you don't have one, or have used one, allows you to show your ignorance and hubris publically without critism. Infinity blade is hardly like fruit ninja. Playstation Vita has come the touch screen way. A perfect example of iOs devices influence. You thinking of eating poo probably explains the crap coming out of you mouth. I bet it won't be long and your mobile tab up the top splits and becomes an android tab and a separate iOS tab. These platforms are growing exponentially as it is where the money is. Ask your mum for an iPad for chrissy! Become a good reviewer rather than a judgmental ignorant ranter! Glean some experience and knowledge before you post crap, and maybe you critism might mean something. This message was posted on an iPad!

These games are getting progressively more annoying. Too many different super attacks and crossovers and gems and easy combos and all the other bullshit. Doesn't help that the 360 controller is useless for fighting. Pissed me off that the double button presses are wank too. Kept getting beaten online because the input for changing characters is so clumsy and unresponsive. In a split second game, it doesn't help at all when one button doesn't quite click and you end up punching because of it. And no way am I paying for a fight stick. Developers NEED to understand that they're not making games for arcades now and adjust accordingly. Please, Capcom, just go back to the old days. One super and that's it. Street Fighter Alpha 3 was a FAR superior game to all this modern shite you've released.

I'm really starting to hate Capcom's nickle and dime policy. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the company that made the Smurfs iOS game but with games you usually get a sense that the PUBLISHER is forcing the nickle and dime policy instead of the developer. Look at Mass Effect. Before EA Bioware used to deliver full game experiences right out of the box. And yes, you can argue that DLC wasn't common when the first Mass Effect came out but it wasn't uncommon either. After all, this was after horse armor came out.

don't forget about the gems. basically this game has shitloads of gameplay-altering DLCs. it's the most incomplete capcom game yet without DLCs. A new low. too bad because it's such a cool crossover, and I even trust these guys more than Namco to make a better crossover. too many businessmen in capcom office and not enough gamers. not gonna buy this new, cap's gonna get my money through DLC.
