The game developer needs to look at it from our point of view as well. Not every consumer has access to the large amount of money needed to by new games. Many gamers, including myself, need used game sales so we can continue playing videogames in general. I can't afford to pay top dollar for a game because my income doesn't allow it. To put it simply, if the developers cut out used games, then they also cut out a large percentage of their buyers.

I've never wanted to actually pirate but the industry is actually leading me right to it. CD keys? Sure, why not. Garbage online passes? Whatever. Locking out my right to sell a product as a customer? Eff you. I'll still play your games, I just won't give you ANY money. The thing that corporate bull leeches forget is that while used games may hurt the industry somewhat (lol), so does making crappy games. Raise your hand if you ever bought a game brand new and it didn't work, then it never was patched. So, bring on the "lemon laws" with games and I'll agree with the argument that used games hurt people.

This game is fun. I played it online with some of you youngsters and the gameplay was as smooth as I was in the movie, The Cotton Club, starring me and Richard Gere. The co-op is great, and how it gives your kill percentage [out of 100%] on any individual person. I really wish they added competitive multiplayer DLC though. Even though I don't play games much since I'm a famous actor, and I'm usually busy acting.

Just so everyone is aware, this is an article about a Season Pass, not the used games industry. Just putting that out there. Having said that, I don't have a problem paying for a season pass as long as it's worth it. If I am paying $50 for a season pass, you damn well better be putting something new out EVERY month. As for used games and saying that you should have to pay full price for a game; that's just plain asinine. Like I said, I have know problem paying for games that I think are worth it, but a lot of the time, I am able to afford those games by selling my old ones. If I wasn't able to sell those used games, do you know how many of the greats I would miss out on? You can say that it's stupid reasoning, but not everyone can just simply afford every new game that comes out, even after saving up there money. In the past 6 months, I have purchased Forza 4, Batman: Arkham City, Borderlands, Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3, Sonic Generations, NBA 2k12, Dead Space 2, and even the COD Elite. I bought every single one of these games at new price and I was able to afford it by selling my old ones. If I had not been able to do this, I would have probably gotten one or two of these games. Publishers need to either lower the prices of their games or console prices need to be lowered. Getting rid of used games and continuing with the current prices is just asking for a huge profit loss.

Derp All I want to do is pay less and get everything! How dare these people create an incentive to actually purchase their games! Really people, they aren't withholding significant portions of the game. When they start taking out 50% of the game, then you have a right to complain but until then if you want every last thing in these games you better start saving.. This coming from a jobless 17 year old.

This, unfortunately, is probably the best we can hope for going forwards. I gave the NBA Jam: On Fire Edition DLC (pay to purchase Jambucks, iOS style) a lot of grief, but at least if the content is accessible via grinding, it's not so bad. "diligent play will allow all events and gear to be unlocked via Explore points, which can still be earned without a Pass." The trickier parts are when they actually remove content from Used Games, i.e. the significant Catwoman portions of Arkham City.

i have complained to all the known e-mail addresses for THQ and had no results, so i have had to resort to using my contact details from games journalism and gone direct to the marketing people for THQ uk, i doubt ill hear any thing, but i am beyond angry on this as i say no competitive play makes it even more of an insult, i have asked THQ to make a public apology and to stand against on line passes on future lol!!!!

This is not just wrong it should be illegal. I thought EA games where bad doing this with Battlefield BC2 and Battlefield 3 and EA sports games. This needs to stop as it it terrorism on the second hand market and we should be able to sell games if we chose to as they are expensive. Secondly even if there is a on line pass it should be per ISP account or IP address/console/consoles as me and my wife both play the game why should we both have to pay for a pass this makes it even worse. some allow per console, but how is this any good when you have more than one xbox. The industry consistently justifies the inflated unit price with the quality of the product. As we not getting a full game, and often the online element is up to 50%, we can argue that a new unit price for games like Battlefield 3 should be £25 rather than £45. With regards to Saint Row the 3rd an argument that can not be countered with any logic is there is not even any competitive play so therefore charging for it is a absolute disgrace.

... The main thing I've taken from this is that DLC-ish characters have their own story segments. So On November 1st, Nightwing will finally have a playable story, of sorts, in a video game. That is what I'm taking away from this. NOTHING ELSE.

this is the old CD Key idea if I'm understanding it right. Something which has been cracked and dropped already by PC Gaming companies almost universally (there are still some hold-outs) due to it's prevalence to be brought down when someone figures out the key to generate them. I personally have no problem with it, it's just a little extra, and if you only have to enter it the one time, it's ok, as that's just another way to tie the game to your account, and say Sony adds in the option that if you own it, lose the disc and it is available on the PSN you can re-download it(doubtful, but hopeful).
