    If the NFL let it pass from '97 up until '04 or so (I dunno exactly when the series started and ended) why wouldn't they now? Still, I wouldn't doubt someone, either NFL or EA, will find some way to mess this up. I'll give 'em the benefit of the doubt for now, but I suspect this will be like Madden except with turbo. Unless Madden has that, I dunno. EA did alright with NBA Jam, so maybe, just maybe, they'll get Blitz right.

    I'm honestly not too excited. I loved both Blitz: The League games and actually enjoyed the fictitious League and backstory behind all the teams and players. It's really kind of sad to see it go. Plus, I really dislike this new style, and the fact that it's being developed by the Madden team doesn't really grab me either, as that series has gotten really stale over the last few years. However, on the plus side, maybe this could lead to a revival of the Mutant League games, a series which I still enjoy and play on my old Genesis to this day. I am actually surprised it hasn't seen a resurrection of any kind yet.
