    I gotta say the Jesus thing is a stretch. A vaguely crucifixion-like pose and he wakes up with some scars on his wrists. Compare that to the Halo 3 marketing, which was all about how the Master Chief "died" to save Earth.

    Back in the 80s and 90s it was practically all live action commercials for games. Then it was abstract commercials for games with a flash of game footage, then it was mostly game footage for commercials. And now game commercials have come full circle, bringing live action footage back into game commercials. Nintendo America started that trend of showing people playing Wii or DS, then Halo Reach had live action and now Skyrim. I predict more live action commercials from here on out.
