Though I can see how what's said on the internet can have some kind of impact on things, I however do not believe that was the case here. CEO is or has left there will be restructuring, especially with a struggling company. EA Montreal hasn't produced anything worthwhile, the Army Of Two games really aren't that great or special. So what do you expect to happen? Cut off the unneeded fat, sadly in this case it's EA Montreal.

I don't know all about the company but it sounds like a push for more profit for heads. Than again those employees could have been doing nothing while getting paid. Just my thought.
