As someone who doesn't play games online, the single-player makes it or breaks it for me. So with only four main characters, I'm not that optimistic. For me, it comes down to one simple question: Calypso, yes or no? Much like, to me, Alice In Chains without Layne Staley is not Alice In Chains, Twisted Metal without Calypso is not Twisted Metal.

@evident dead (rather late i know)... his name is tidus. TIDUUUUUUUS. i wrote it as "titus" to MOCK YOU. you know mocking? also, i did like FFX. i just thought FFX2 was more fun and had more replay value. simple. so much of FFX is walking in a straight line grinding whilst tiresomely swapping all your characters so they all gain EXP.

Sony and Microsoft completely fell for the motion control fad, and their crap will saturate the market completely. Nintendo comes out as a winner by taking a step back to is roots and their long-time fans that stopped playing or just sold their Wii long ago. Hell, I still don't have a Wii. Gamecube and the occasional 360 or PS2 game kept me going for the last few years. I might still wait for a new HD console, but it's become increasingly unlikely considering the focus on the 3DS. If the normal Wii comes wrapped with one or two of these new hardcore titles next Christmas, I'm buying one, period. I can understand the bad responses to Nintendo recycling their old franchises, but it's the best thing they can do right now. They're bringing back the kind of 2D gameplay that the Nintendo loyalists have loved and missed for such a long time. When Wii and 3DS have regained the hearts of the Nintendo core audience by reinvigorating the old franchises (and, in the case of the new Kirby, adding some awesome innovation to them), there is room for good new games. They can't release a Kirby, DK or Mario game each year. Actually, in the case of these 2D games, maybe they can. I haven't been this happy with Nintendo since the 90s. Sony and Microsoft can suck it.

Nintendo was awesome, not only because of the games they showed. Microsoft and Sony were wiggling with their motion bullshit assuming Nintendo would do the same and then BOOM! Served. reCAPTCHA: Senator unicorns. I'd vote for him.

@Gunslinger you're wrong sorry mate. Here in the "UK", we had Mickey Mania on both SNES and Mega Drive. So you've never had it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. It was a good game in it's time though. particulary the bit when you were being chased by the huge moose.
