I'm still not convinced. I don't have an issue with the game itself, looks fantastic, and I love the sense of humor and setting, the first two games in the series really didn't have much of a storyline. That being said what's going to make or break this game for me is how much they follow the source material.
Which is not to say that I expect them to copy exactly from the previous games, that would kind of negate the point of making a reboot. But If they go too far in the opposite direction then it's going to piss off a lot of people. there needs to be a good balance between the source material and their own spin on it. It's part of why a good number of fans got pissed off by the serious, sadistic, edgy style that was originally how the new dante looked to be developing.
