      tried dead island, and was not impressed in the least. graphically it wasn't interesting, and it didn't live anywhere close to what the trailer offered... being the only thing interesting of that experience. that should prove to anyone to leave this on the shelf.

      Dead Island was a buggy mess, but it was still fun. Seeing as this will also be a first person hack 'n' slasher, I don't see why it wouldn't be fun too. Still, given how long it took Dead Island to come out, and the fact that after 5-ish years it was still buggy, I'm not expecting to see this game on shelves anytime soon. Especially considering they haven't actually started on it yet.

      Just read about this elsewhere. Apparently the dumb Australian developers who made it believe that because it sold 3 million copies it can be declared as Game of the Year on the box. Wii Sports sold over 50 million copies, do you think Nintendo started embellishing "Best Game Ever Made" on their boxes?       Well I enjoyed the game, it was good to play with some good buddies. I'm looking forward to the DLC but I'm confused on how it will work. Can you still be the original characters or can you only be Ryder White because playing with 2 other people all the same character would look pretty stupid.

      I made it through the campaign with only two bugs: 1) if you drove too fast or jumped over a guardrail with a car, ti would get stuck and unable to be moved (along with any cargo on it) and 2) that in cramped places, if infected noticed you and they were in a room behind a door, they glitched through the door because of their extreme speed (you could hit each other, but you were safe if you backed away. I didn't experience game-breaking bugs, nor any that weren't at least slightly funny (that car on the rail was hilarious)and I played it a couple of days after release. I do not understand why the reviewers scored it so low, I thought the story was substantial and it should've been an 7 at least

      I'm still not sure about getting this game. Does anyone have any idea how prevalent the bugs and glitches are after all of these patches? I'm just not sure if I can justify wanting a game that will most likely collect dust if it's still unplayable.

      Why is EVERYONE hating on this game?!? I think its a masterpiece. a slightly buggy masterpiece, but never before have I been so engrossed in such a story-less game, not since Far Cry 2. You really feel the sense of desperation and survival, as you pretty much make up your own game while trying to get from point A to point B in one piece. and its awesome. Yet every single headline I read about, whether the headline is about something good or bad, the article is always slanted on "This game is kinda evil and the developers are incompetent."

      i have the ps3 version and the save system doesn't seem to work, the only time it seems to save effectively is when i di otherwise when i turn the game back on i just have to hope i havent lost to much data, hell today i had to re level up 5 levels because it took me back to near the start of the chapter i had nearly finished, i really enjoy the game but this bullcrap needs to be fixed

      i really do want this game, and im really glad the devs are still supporting it instead of just closing their doors, i think a release date should have been pushed back, and the QA team should be fracking (not drilling for natural gas) fired. i have to say, out of every major company, Valve and Blizzard are best with their games. there are RARELY bugs, and what there are, are minor because of the "its done when its done" policy. This game had so much potential to get a 11 out of ten, especially after that initial GORGEOUS trailer had been released for Dead Island. as i have stated before, i will be getting this on steam when it is dropped in price, and all the dlc is out (and hopefully free!)

      For some reason, I LOVE the atmosphere the song brings in. It's obviously depressing, yet makes me feel almost... blissfully happy? Not sure. But anyone, I payed off this game months ago, and I'm beyond stoked for it. Whether is lives up to it's hype is yet to be seen, but still, I don't see me disliking this experience as a whole. Except maybe when Sam B starts talking. Also: WHY DOES THIS GAME HAVE TO COME OUT THE SAME DAY AS SPACE MARINE?! Now I have to try to cram two games in that day!

      I love how the trailer was all guns, guts and gore while pretty much every preview says the combat is predominantly melee based. I guess the sad music/"that" trailer isn't really representative of the game either. Reminds me of that pretentious "Mad World" Gears of War trailer. Also, considering the other characters seem quite normal - regular holiday makers - it feels a bit lazy to have a rapper as your go-to "cool" character. Surely a genuine rapper wouldn't be staying in a hotel resort with regular folk. Still looks awesome though. Even my non gaming girlfriend wants to play it. Or watch me play it at least.
