Aw, I was really hoping Bethesda would push out at least one more add-on before moving on to the next big thing. I still think they could've done it, but I guess it's time to move on (after all, it's been over a year since the game was released).
Looking forward to your next big thing, guys (which I'm gonna guess along with everyone else here that it's Fallout 4)!

I was hoping for a DLC pack where we could deal with the Aldmeri Dominion. Hopefully that can be the entire main plot of the next game (and hopefully they don't just fast forward hundreds of years to a point where the AD was removed offscreen).

Its just developers squeezing as much money as possible.

Sounds good in theory.... if your an honest company, but eventually there will be a time when many companies will take advantage of that lull in judgement from consumers. Companies are here to make money, so its a boulder that will be pushed and pushed to see how far it goes.

What Mr Hines has done here is cleverly dodged the question: yes there is a latency before sale day which could be put to good use. Good use to the following dlc however, not ironing out bugs for the basic game. This is not extra content, this is the fundamental ability to play the game, and as such should have been done during the development process, and before shipping.
The danger with this practice, as we saw with Skyrim, is that without a deadline which can be pushed back (rather than the game physically being sold in retail), sometimes developers and qa testers can’t iron out all the bugs. You can’t unrelease a game if it’s already been bought by John Smith. This results in unfinished code being distributed.
Day one dlc does not help the consumer, only in this case Bethesda, by tightening their margins and saving time/money on their content turnaround. While on paper this doesn’t have to be an issue, it makes the stakes so much higher. So yes, please Mr Hines, do get your developers to start creating ADDITIONAL contact as soon as possible, but just make sure the basics are down first.
Naughtly Mr Hines, question dodging…

The skills should have always been this way.
Bethesda, I have loved your games since I played 300+ hours of Morrowind in per year for 2 1/2 years in high school.
At Skyrim, you lost me. I've played maybe 50 hours on one character and 40 or so hours on a second since launch. I got my first character to level 40 and realized that there were not enough talent points to have as many skills on my character as I wanted to use. This made me die a little inside.
The game world is beautiful, but it doesn't make up for the fact that characters are so limited in their progression compared to previous titles, prior to patch 1.9

There is a major omission from Ubisoft's entry, well before the end-90s Quack Attack, Ubi already had a hit in the form of Rayman dating back to the mid-90s PSOne launch window, the engine of Rayman 2 was in fact most likely used for Quack Attacks if the visuals, menus and sound effects as well as similarities between the games are taken into account.

Uhm, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat was on the original Xbox and PS2, about 3 years before Bad Company.

Oh hell yeah! Altmer FTW! I cant wait to see the Summerset Isles again. I dont really care for the Aldmeri Dominion even though I'll probably join up with them.
Unless Dunmer make an appearance. COME ON LET ME BE A SUBTERRANEAN BADASS DWARF ALREADY.

"If you fail... well, we're not exactly sure what would happen if you failed to prevent a world ending event. Odds are nothing, because it'd be sort of boring if the MMO just ended."

I don't know. I'm still leery of the "You Build Your Own Class" section. I understand that they're trying to give templates for the people that want to followed a defined class path and have some variety between abilities and such, but the spirit of TES games is in the variety of characters you can make.
I think it would make for a much better game to look at an enemy player during PvP and have no idea what tricks they may have up their sleeves.
