Can't say I care for the character art myself. As opposed to being a "make an assassin the would live in colonial times" it's instead "Take the character from Assassin's Creed and stick on bits that would fit in colonial times."

Cool interview, and just a heads-up but the link on the main page to the AC trailer brought me here instead of the actual trailer. Not sure if it's just me, but might wanna check that.

Yeah, that looks awesome. Should be nice to have a proper natural open world, like the place between cities in AC1, and I'm looking forward to engaging in proper wars with the Assassins. I hope theres some sort of hunting element (Assassin vs. bear? Cmon, I can't be the only person who wants to see that!) and that they don't demonise the English too much, but otherwise it looks great! (Oh, and I immediately thought of John Marston vs. Ezio when I saw the trailer. I kknow the timeperiod would be wrong, but I still dream...)

Steelbook is a type of case. The game literally comes in a metal case (same size and shape as a regular game case, so it'll still fit on your shelf) and it usually features exclusive artwork different from the normal case. Steelbook cases are usually included with limited edition copies of games.

Since I'm Canadian, I never studied much American history. This should be interesting for that at least, so I'm excited! I hope it's significantly changed mechanically since ACII, though, the other games were beginning to get a bit stale.

Desmond is American. Are you really so surprised to see an american ancestor? America is an important country, and the formation of it is rife for conspiracy, with Freemasons and whatnot. And don't forget that Desmond's story is going to wrap up in this one. This isn't just the ancestor's story.
To the "pandering!!!" crowd, seriously, chill. The revolutionary war is an incredibly interesting event in history, and one of the most important in that last 200 years. We've had a game in Europe, a game in Asia, and now a game in North America. Gothic architecture can get a little tired after a while. Time for something different. And honestly, I don't think it's going to be like any other game set in America. Judging by the arguably neutral way that Ubisoft has presented both sides of conflicts in previous games, I highly doubt it's going to be a case of "America, FUCK YEAH!". The world of Assassin's Creed is one of grays. Neither the Assassins or Templars are evil or good. They both desire peace. They aid whatever regimes serve their purposes, and will turn on them in an instant if they cease to do so. If it turns out the Assassins played a role in America's victory, it will be because doing so thwarted Templar interests, or furthered their own.

Sure, it's a long title, but that's all they're really doing at this point and I'd appreciate it if became more forward about it.

Wasn't it supposed to reward stealthy kills? I take my time, watch my target, and quietly stalk up to them for an incognito takedown. Whats the point if the people you can see coming from a mile off take the top 3 places everytime??
Plus i agree on the achievement glitches. Please fix these before releasing anymore multiplayer content.

I for one am looking forward to the addition of maps both old and new.

I think they're struggling to sell this. Due to the fact that every game store I enter is advertising the hell out of the fact that you can play as Ezio in it but negeleting to tell us it's not a new assassin's creed game.

It's because they used the costume from the trailer. The white material appears to be made out of cloth instead of leather. Even then, it's not 100% accurate, like how the outer vest/jerkin is connected to the collar instead of it being two separate shirts.

Alright, that looks pretty cool. And yeah, when I first read the title I honestly thought it was some joke or a major typo. Wonder if Square will get crossover stuff for other characters/companies.

I'm waiting a while before picking up Revelations, the game looks great as does Assassin's Creed in general, and I'll play it before I play the next one for sure, but I don't care for the multiplayer and I'd rather have a great story and no multiplayer option.
It seems Ubisoft is taking a page from Activision with the "One a year" buisness model, except they have one studio making a game every year instead of every other year, also the games just keep getting less and less story, Ezio is great and all, but does he deserve 3 games? Altair only gets two games, and he was an American living in a middle eastern world!
Also @Dman, trilogyception

I can't wait to get this game tonight, though I do wish they would give the franchise a break for at least a year. Either that or focus solely on the story next year instead of further refining multiplayer. I just really want number three to finally end things for Desmond and give me some overall story closure.
I really don't get their argument for putting out a game next year though, it just doesn't hold up. How can the story just not make sense if it takes place after a date in real life? Whatever it is they have planned, would a fictional story really have less of an impact if its doomsday date passes in real life? It's not like it will actually happen, unless...
My god. Ubisoft isn't milking a game franchise, they're giving us a warning people! GO BUY ASSASSIN'S CREED, IT'S OUR ONLY HOPE.
