Aliens movie is so perfect that it keeps being the source of inspiration for many different franchises. There's no surprise that many game franchises borrowed from it. I'd say Halo is probably the one that took most out of Aliens and I'm not complaining about it one bit. It borrowed it with respect and turned it into another classic, allowing Aliens legacy to live on since, ironically, real Aliens games all seem to be half-assed products.

I always find these "sponsored" posts darkly comical; they're written by the people who make the games, trying to pass them off as being written by GR, like this is the review they want for the game. In this case the unreferenced "kick ass" quote is doubly funny.
The trailer itself is terrible; loud, obnoxious and moronic lines delivered cornily by someone who sounds like they're from the Duke Nukem Forever universe.
Graphics look dated, gameplay is too run-n-gun; Aliens should be creepy and scary, not "hoo-rah"! I can't wait for the full review, I'm predicting 2-3/5, which falls a little shy of "kick ass".

Oh, there are so much more than these two. Sure, they've been delayed a bit, but this isn't some DNF here. And remember SSBB? It got delayed within a week of its release, then I'm pretty sure it got delayed again before it finally came out. Then there's H-L 3 (don't even get me started), MGS:Rising (now Revengeance), Kingdom Hearts 3, and The Old Republic have seen or are still seeing longer delays than this.
Nevertheless, this game looks sick. I'll have to wait to see if I can afford the CE when it comes out, but I've got plenty of time.
