T-1000 Robert Patrick To Play Recurring Guest Star In True Blood

The show has signed up the Terminator 2 and arse-end-of- The-X-Files star Robert Patrick for a recurring guest role as Alcide's father Jackson Herveaux, according to The Hollywood Reporter .

Patrick will first appear in a flashback episode set in the ’80s when Alcide (Joe Manganiello) and Debbie Pelt (Brit Morgan) were teenagers and Jackson was a "powerful, inspiring and heroic" guy. In the present, though, he's given up on life. Jackson is also in debt to Eric, for a pact the vampire made with Jackson’s father.

Patrick will make his debut in Episode nine, “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” (so expect some Tears For Fears action on the ’80s soundtrack).

True Blood season five will air in the UK on FX, though there’s no broadcast date yet.
