Super Mario World hard drive stores 500 GB of fun files

Impractical? Maybe. Overpriced? Definitely. But this new Super Mario World hard drive from 8BitMemory looks amazing. For $149.99, you can get a 500 GB Toshiba external hard drive encased in a classic Super Mario World SNES cartridge chassis.

If you’re not a big Super Mario World fan, the retailer takes custom orders, and takes special game requests for external NES and SNES game cartridge hard drives. If you need a little more or less storage space, you can also order 320 GB and 540 GB hard drives.

Above: You can find an external USB hard drive online for about half as much as this one, but it won't be shaped like a Super Mario World cart!

Above: 8BitMemory's retro drives come in many flavors, like this

Above: Extra oldschool NES drives are also an option

Overpriced? BAH! I'm totally getting that Metroid one. The Metroid series is far better than Mario.

Great External HDs but the real shame is you had to put these great features under the Wii section of GR. Well I guess you have to sneak a couple of features in every once in a while

Oh man, that hurts to look at. Especially the Metroid yellow label!
