is this a joke? you give a mario game a 10? and you give red dead a 9? Are you serious? Now all these people are going to waste their money on this game they've already played close to 20 times instead of getting some incredible game like red dead which you'll be playing all summer long...

Blast, I can't oogle rosalina anymore.

it has better, original levels, new powerups, yoshi, better graphics, better sound, more levels, a new level selection interface, and better boss fights, but its too similar to the first? I definitely want this game. I'll be getting it ASAP.

I need this game in my life. I think this is like 15th time that I tell myself to buy a Wii and then I was like "OMG! What'll happen to my gamer score progress if I keep playing a Wii". Fuck gamer score, I'll wait until E3 to hear the Natal games line-up and if most of them are shitty games, I'll be picking up a Wii.

I want this even more now. Well done, Mr. The Tank

I knew I kept my Wii for a reason. Y'know, a reason besides my ignorant mom not letting me get a 360 because all the games are M-rated.

    Can't wait to get it!

I like the colorful worlds and music. I just might get my wii out, which i haven't touched since Brawl. Why can't Nintendo make more first party gems instead of the "Real Life Babiez" crap. When i buy a game I don't want to babysit, and I certanily don't want to get "Fit."

This article was really well written but I question the choice of having Henry write it. I'm sure he wanted to but the fact that I know he's in love with Mario makes me question his objectivity a little bit.

The little collect dust thing is a bit too much. Not everyone does that. Monster Hunter Tri is enough reason to keep it powered on at all times. And theres plenty of great Wii games that I can't afford currently and theres also the awesome games coming out. It'll be a very long time before I can become multi-console...maybe if someone buys it as a gift, preferably PS3 because I really want Blu-Ray considering Gundam Unicorn is Blu-Ray

    PURCHASING

This is definitely a great game and i will get it. But Nintendo honestly is really getting on my nerves, especially with this video tutorial crap, it's completely degrading, who doesn't know how to move forward, or wall jump for that matter? Back in the super mario 64 days, my four or five year old self had to learn every platforming technique there is all by my lonesome. If i must say, i am an excellent platformer, there isn't one platform game i can't beat :P

    Cant. Fucking. Wait!!!!
  • MrDuracraft - May 21, 2010 7:04 p.m.

Mario Galaxy 2 then MH Tri for my summer birthday... Gonna be a great 6 months But, no Rosalina (unless you count the Cosmic Guide)? So is this an alternate universe or something?
  • Harmonator - May 21, 2010 7:02 p.m.

Hm. Reading this intrigued me to get it. Yet another one to add to the very long list of games I need to play...

I've beaten the first SMG 100% and loved every second of it, from the fantastic soundtrack (which I feel like searching for online), to the otherworldly gameplay. If you have a Wii, you'd have to be an idiot (or in a coma) to NOT buy this game.
  • FIVE - May 21, 2010 6:13 p.m.

I remember i played the original to death. Now i'm going to do the same with this one!!
  • 510BrotherPanda - May 21, 2010 6:13 p.m.

Man Henry, you totally wrote off all the Metroid and Zelda stuff that came out. I think SMG2 will be great, but the whole "let the Wii collect dust" thing seemed a little too much. What about Other M and the supposed Wii Zelda at the end of the year?
  • Unoriginal - May 21, 2010 6:07 p.m.

Was going to get Red Dead and with my current financial standing I really can't justify getting more than one game ATM. Now I saw this is coming out. Guess I wont be playing Red Dead soon

Anyone who is saying, 'I don't think this is good enough of a reason to buy a Wii' is wrong. Pool this game (and the original) plus Metroid Prime Trilogy, Twilight Princess, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and a shit-ton of Wii-Ware and Virtual Console games, and the Wii just became the best console ever (not really, but you know what I mean). This game is going to be the best. Case Closed. Now I wonder if I will be able to finish my run-through with Luigi (I have 20 stars) before Sunday...
