Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting - Xbox Live Arcade review

AT A GLANCE
  • Good ol' 2D fisticuffs
  • Retooled to take advantage of Live
  • $10 is well worth it
  • No true HD treatment
  • Voice chat abuse from spectators
  • Where's the six-button stick?

The 360 controller's button layout recalls the old SNES pad a bit (and it's quite customizable - reassign the attacks to whatever buttons you like), but a decent six-button arcade stick would make this experience complete. But Street Fighter II' Hyper Fighting is still worth your $10, and not just for nostalgia's sake. Not only has the game been retooled with the Live audience in mind, but it's still a challenging, rewarding way to pound out your frustrations after a brutal day in the real world.
