Star Wars: The Last Jedi could see a big showdown in the movie's first act

We love a good Star Wars: The Last Jedi rumour, don’t we? We can pretend we don’t want to have anything spoiled or to hear any whispers but, deep down, you want to hear every last scrap and morsel about what may or may not be happening in a galaxy far, far away. And this rumour is a doozy: General Leia and Supreme Leader Snoke could be going face-to-face very early on in the movie. Ooh boy. Possible Star Wars: The Last Jedi spoilers follow.

Nerdist’s News Talks Back show lays out the details on what potentially happens in the first act (talk about starting off strong) of The Last Jedi between Leia and Snoke.

Leia – most surprising of all for a freakin’ General – ends up getting captured by The First Order and brought before Snoke. What follows is a spectacular shouting match between the two, which hopefully reveals just who or what the hell Snoke is – and confirms Leia as the most kickass person in the galaxy. Again.

But is a Leia/Snoke showdown even something we want to see at this point? Both existed on the edges of Star Wars: The Force Awakens so it might simply be a case of jumping through hoops to get to some plot-heavy exposition.

Or it could all just be a bunch of Snoke and mirrors. Ahem.
