Star Wars: Rogue One's new clip shows Jyn taking out Stormtroopers like it’s no big deal

If the new Star Wars: Rogue One clip is anything to go by, we’re in for an early Christmas present.

Cornered by Stormtroopers, Jyn Erso and Captain Cassian Andor make their way through side streets before Jyn takes out at least three Stormtroopers in hand-to-hand combat before shooting two more.

Stormtroopers still suck at hitting anyone within two feet of them but lesson learned: don’t mess with Jyn.

K-2SO also makes an appearance (yay!) in the short clip, pretty much confirming he is going to be the MVP of Rogue One. After Jyn gets a bit too carried away with taking down an entire Stormtrooper unit, she shoots an Imperial droid – one that is a dead ringer for Kaytoo.

Don’t worry Kaytoo fans, the robot is alive and well in the background but asks Jyn, “Did you know that wasn’t me?” Jyn (who is sporting a pretty nasty bloodied nose) replies “Of course…” The galaxy’s greatest rebels live to fight another day…

Directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Felicity Jones, Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Forest Whitaker, and Mads Mikkelsen, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is released in the UK on December 15 and the US on December 16.
