Tremble before the might of The First Order in new Force Awakens trailer

The first TV spot for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens has debuted online, featuring a tiny blink-and-you'll-miss-it piece of new footage. As the seventh entry into the Star Wars cinematic canon opens in theaters at the end of this year this appears to be the beginning of Disney's final marketing blitz.

This new TV spot includes mostly recycled footage from the previous two trailers except for one significant shot: the vast sprawl of the First Order, AKA the new and improved Empire. From what we learned at Comic-Con, Domhnall Gleeson's General Hux commands the troops from Starkiller Base, aided by Adam Driver's Kylo Ren and Gwendoline Christie's head Stormtrooper Captain Phasma. Check out the clip below:

Disney's D23 expo kicks off this weekend, and is probably the best bet for a new trailer debut. Fingers crossed, we might see a bigger chunk of unseen footage hit the web shortly. Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens worldwide on December 18.
