Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron

Single player provides plenty of mission based goals, while Renegade's multiplayer focuses heavily on capturing bases and good ol' fashioned killin'. But they've also added a new Hero Capture the Flag mode. A map we played saw roving flag bases in the form of Mace Windu and Count Dooku. Meaning, you've got to subdue these heavily fortified space ninjas before you can snag the flag and hightail it back to your base. And as an added bonus, we heard a voice over the radio declare: "We've lost the flag! The Emperor will be most displeased." Really? Doesn't he have a galaxy to conquer?

During multiplayer, you'll even occasionally be rewarded with assuming control of none other than Luke Skywalker, Yoda, and yes, even Lord Vader himself. These mighty Jedis are much harder to take down, stacked with superior melee attacks and force powers, such as chucking your lightsaber like a lethal boomerang through a crowd of enemies.

Running and gunning through the vast outdoor environments with the analog nub is a breeze thanks to the R button lock-on. The L shoulder is multi-functional, as tapping it will jump, holding will sprint, and a double-tapwill activate your jetpack if you choose to use one. Yes, choose. Renegade Squadron packs in a staggering amount of customizability, beyond just making a pink stormtrooper (which you can in fact do.)
