Nintendo has confirmed the release date for the next high-profile 3D remake to hit the 3DS. Star Fox 64 3D will be launching on September 9 in the US and Europe. The title signals the start of a series of first-party releases by Nintendo, with Pokemon Rumble Blast in October, Kid Icarus, and two new Mario titles before year's end.
The game's official site has launched, with preordering info and more content to follow. Nintendo is promoting Star Fox 64 3D’s re-mastered graphics, gyro sensor controls, and revamped multiplayer modes.
GamesRadar had a first-hand look at the game recently. You'll be able to revisit Corneria, Zoness and all the title's other signature worlds (the lava level, the underwater one, etc) while counting down to the “Holiday 2011” releases of Kid Icarus: Uprising, Super Mario 3DS and Mario Kart 3DS, rounding off the 3DS' launch year with some much-needed original first-party content. Are you looking forward to Nintendo's upcoming 3DS launches?
