Square Enix announces its E3 stars

Tuesday 25 April 2006
Square Enix has announced which games it will be presenting at this year's E3 games show in LA and promises that it will be its most diverse line-up yet.

The full line-up is as follows:

Dawn of Mana (PS2)
Dirge of Cerberus - Final Fantasy VII (PS2)
Final Fantasy XII (PS2)
Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria (PS2)
Final Fantasy V Advance and Final Fantasy VI Advance (GBA)
Children of Mana (DS)
Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime (DS)
Final Fantasy III (DS)
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth (PSP)

In other Square news, the developer is teaming up with Nintendo to make inroads into the Japanese mobile market by launching an email application that stars various Pokemon and includes some virtual pet aspects.

This not only shows Nintendo's willingness to get involved with mobile phones, but also demonstrates that its relationship with Square is blossoming.

Relations between the two Japanese companies became frosty when Square began supporting the original Sony PlayStation, but since then things have thawed significantly - so much so that there are many rumours circulating that Square is working on projects for Revolution, Nintendo's next-gen console.

Although Square Enix's line-up has an absence of next-gen games, there's still a possibility that it may spring some surprises for E3.
