Competition Rules
1. Eligibility
To be eligible to enter the Hitman Sniper Challenge Competition (“the Competition”) you must:
a. be 18 years or over;
b. be a legal resident of the U.K. ;
c. possess a code obtained through pre-ordering the official version of the game Hitman: Absolution;
e.
download and install the Hitman: Sniper Challenge game and be
connected to either an Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network or (for PC
entrants) STEAM account; and
f. register and link your account at www.hitmansniper.com.
Employees
of the Promoter, any third party providing the Competition prize or
their agents or suppliers are not eligible to enter the Competition;
2. Contest Period
For XboxLIVE/PlayStation entrants: July 1, 2012 (00:01am GMT) through October 19, 2012 (11:59 pm GMT)
For PC entrants: August 1, 2012 (00:01am GMT) through October 19, 2012 (11:59 pm GMT)
Each
entrant is eligible for only 1 weekly, and 1 monthly prize throughout
the Contest period. Monthly winners will be eligible for the Grand Prize
but are not eligible for any of the subsequent monthly prizes.
3. The Competition
a.
The entrant from each platform (Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network and PC)
with the highest score at the end of each month within the Contest
Period shall be awarded a monthly prize. All monthly winners will have
the chance to take part in the Grand Final taking place in London on
26th October 2012, at a location to be confirmed. The contestant with
the highest score at the Grand Final will win the Grand Prize. Spot
prizes may also be awarded during the Contest Period.
b. Winners will be announced on or about:
For July 2012 monthly winners: August 3, 2012;
For August 2012 monthly winners: September 4, 2012;
For September 2012 monthly winners: October 3, 2012;
For October 2012 monthly winners: October 24, 2012
For the Grand Prize, the winner will be contacted at a date in October 2012.
4. Prizes
a. The Prizes available to winning entrants are:
aa.
One (1) Grand Prize consisting of: Grand Prize winner will have his or
her likeness inserted into a future ‘Hitman’ game (no monetary value),
and will receive a Golden Joystick at the 2012 Golden Joysticks taking
place in London on the 26th October 2012.
Square Enix reserves the
right to change and/or substitute any components of the Grand Prize at
any time, in its sole discretion. The Grand Prize winner must consent to
their likeness being included in a future Hitman game and provide a
photograph of him or herself to Square Enix which will be used as the
basis for insertion of his or her likeness into the Hitman game. Square
Enix is not obliged to provide a cameo appearance of the Grand Prize
winner in the event the future Hitman game development is delayed,
substantially modified, or cancelled. All costs and expenses in
travelling to/from the Golden Joysticks Awards and / or the Grand Final
shall be at the Grand Prize winner's sole account. The Grand Prize
winner shall also be responsible for all subsistence and other expenses
involved in attending the Golden Joysticks Awards. Square Enix shall
have no liability to the Grand Prize winner for the Grand Prize winner
not being able to attend the Golden Joysticks Awards for any reason or
any other failure outside of the control of Square Eidos (such as the
event being rescheduled or cancelled by the organiser).

There
shall be only one (1) winner per format for each monthly prize. In the
event that there is a tie in the highest score, the entrant who scored
the highest score with the earliest time stamp shall be the winner of
the relevant prize. All prizes are subject to change and may be
substituted with goods of equal value at Square Enix’s sole discretion.
b. Winner will be notified within 28 days of the dates set
out at paragraph 3(b) above by e-mail to the contact details registered
to the winner’s account.
c. Winners will be required to provide
their full name and address and evidence of their age before a Prize is
provided to them. If a winner fails to provide this additional
information within 14 days of Square Enix’s request, or Square Enix is
otherwise unable to contact the winner via the winner’s registered
contact details, the relevant Prize will be considered forfeit by the
winner and the relevant prize awarded to the entrant with the next
highest score from the remaining entries. Prizes will be dispatched to
winners within 14 days of Square Enix receiving confirmation of the
winner’s full name, address and age.
d. No purchase necessary.
e.
By taking part in the Competition, you agree to be bound by these
Competition Rules and the decisions of Square Enix which are final in
all matters relating to the Competition. No correspondence will be
entered into.
f. There is no cash alternative to any of the
Prizes. However, Square Enix reserves the right in its sole discretion
to substitute any Prize with cash or a prize of comparable value.
g.
By agreeing to enter into the Competition, you grant Square Enix
permission to use your name for the purpose of organising and/or
managing the Competition and for announcing the winners of the
Competition. All entries and personal information will be deleted six
months after the date that the winning entry is drawn.
h. The
names of the Competition winners will be sent to anyone who requests the
same within three (3) months of the end of the Contest Period. Requests
should be sent to Grantt@square-enix.com.
i. Square Enix
reserves the right at any time and for whatever reason to suspend or
terminate the Competition without notice to entrants.
j. Square
Enix will not be responsible for any technical failure or other problems
in any internet connection, system, service provider or otherwise which
results in an entry not being properly processed or received.
k.
These Competition Rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance
with English law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive
jurisdiction of the English courts.
