Spider-Man: Homecoming trailer remade in 8-bit almost makes up for his spotty game record

Put Spidey's mostly awful history with video games aside for a moment and watch this 8-bit pixel version of Spider-Man: Homecoming's first trailer. It's a faithful and clever remake, and it's even set to a MIDI version of MGMT's "Time to Pretend". Yes, the color palette's too broad to fit in an actual 8-bit game, but I'm too happy about the fact that the run time is "2:56" to care. Though maybe it should be 2:55 so the byte doesn't roll over...

Directed by Jon Watts and starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei and Donald Glover, Spider-Man: Homecoming will hit theaters on July 7, 2017.
