Spelunky's HD version coming to PC, PS3, and PS Vita this summer

Spelunky got its start on PC as a free indie game, but it found its fame as an Xbox Live Arcade title. Developer Mossmouth today announced the upgraded edition with new visuals, music, multiplayer, and more will finally come home to PC this summer, on top of previously announced versions for PS3 and PS Vita.

Roughly a year after its release on XBLA, PC gamers will be able to move up from the original's chunky SNES-style sprites and music. Of course, you have to pay for the new one--the original will remain free for cave-diving cheapskates and retro enthusiasts alike.

Spelunky's new PC version will launch first on Steam and Good Old Games, and then on the Humble Store. Mossmouth has announced no price, but the XBLA version went for 1200 MS points/$15 upon launch.

Watch out for snakes.
