Greg shares his thoughts on his most recent project, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, what he would do if he weren't a composer, and how he felt when Firefly was cancelled.

Ha ha, take that Brett! They kick you out AND start a VGM podcast just to spite you! Seriously though, this is cool - now I get a double dose of game music from SoundRadar and VGMpire. PS Congrats on getting your music gig back, Sophia; I infrequently followed Sound Bytes, and it was very enjoyable. Can't wait to see more SR.

From the first three notes I heard of Uncharted 3's soundtrack, we were very firmly in the Westernized interpretation of music from "the middle east." Personally, I was glad for that, because that's exactly what I was hoping for from this soundtrack. I enjoyed Greg Edmonson's discussion on the ethos behind his compositional choices, particularly his note on using instruments such as the oud and saz purely as "flavour" within a dominating orchestral texture. Nice cast!

I love Greg Edmonson. Uncharted, Firefly.. all awesome soundtracks. However, there is one person they had damn well better have on this podcast sooner or later: Marty O'Donnell.
