Sony plans discounts for select PS3/PS4 cross-platform games

During Gamescom 2013, Sony announced a payment plan that should make impatient gamers happy. For those who purchase the PS3 versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Watch Dogs, and Battlefield 4, Sony will offer a limited time discount for those who want to purchase the PS4 version through the PlayStation Store. The percentage discount has yet to be announced, and the exact time frame for when you can take advantage of this discount is still up in the air. Keep checking back for more details as we get them.

The only discount I would fine reasonable would be 50-75%. If I'm buying the game on the PS3, then we shouldn't be penalized for buying it on the PS4 either.

Not really, its actually a boon to the entire industry that consoles are finally based on x86 architecture.

It is an unrighteous shame that the next gen consoles aren't backwards compatible. The ugly evil one has his fingers around the neck of the gaming industry. We gamers must unite and pry them loose! (Admittedly I took some liberties by adding the exclamation mark but I feel it better expresses what "Messiah" was trying to convey.)

That it's not completely cross-buy is a bummer, but I suppose you can't expect everything to be perfect.
