Steven Soderbergh is apparently mulling plans to return to the world of The Limey – with Terrence Stamp along for the ride.
While there’s no official word from the director himself, the news comes from what might be the next best source – his missus.
Talking on the Adam Corolla podcast , journalist and Soder-spouse Jules Asner revealed that not only does he want to do it, but that he’s already got a cast in mind.
“He wants to do a sequel to The Limey,” she told the host. “And Terence Stamp wants to do it. Terence and Michael Keaton.”
The original, of course saw Stamp’s bruiser of a cockney ex-con head to LA to find the man who he thinks murdered his daughter.
What he’ll be getting up to in a sequel is anyone’s guess.
In other Soderbergh news, it looks like his recent departure from Moneyball hasn’t slowed him down – he’s apparently close to locking in his adaptation of Behind The Candelabra, based on the life of famed musician Liberace.
Matt Damon is now likely to stick with his Informant director to play Scott Thorson, the man behind the book and the piano player’s lover for years.
