    Well that was enjoyable.
  • Frieza - April 8, 2014 3:48 p.m.

No Mewtwo and no Squirtle. Well, looks like I'll be saving $40.
  • J-Fid - April 8, 2014 3:55 p.m.

You can have your Mewtwo and Squirtle. I'll take my, better than those 2 combined, Greninja.
  • Frieza - April 8, 2014 4:09 p.m.

Well, you're entitled to your (terrible) opinion, but there's no need to apply salt to someone else's wound.
  • BladedFalcon - April 8, 2014 4:15 p.m.

Greninja > All other pokemon combined. *Twists his thumb right into that salted wound*
  • Frieza - April 8, 2014 4:17 p.m.

You guys are assholes. The whole bunch of you.
  • BladedFalcon - April 8, 2014 4:26 p.m.

Hey, it's all in good fun XD And I've seen your posts (And avatars) often, I know you have a good sense of humor ;) And well, like J-Fid, everything might not be lost, they did mention they are planning to put more emphasis on pokemon this time, so the possibility of more pokemon being announced (With mewtwo being one of them) doesn't seem that low ^^
  • J-Fid - April 8, 2014 4:43 p.m.

"they are planning to put more emphasis on pokemon this time" They did? Where is this from? I'm all for it, but I haven't heard it to be true.

Thanks, though I think this article is more or less just analyzing what has already been announced. It's not commenting on the future or anything like that.

It's good to know I'm recognized around these parts. I was afraid that people might not recognize me since I change my avatar so much. I didn't know they were putting more emphasis on Pokemon. I can understand why, though. But my wound doesn't come from Mewtwo not being announced. No, it comes from Squirtle's most probable absence. While I wasn't a huge fan of Pokemon Trainer's playstyle, I was willing to put up with it for Squirtle's sake. Squirtle and I have been through so much together. He was my all time favorite ever since I got into Pokemon (which was waaaaay back in the 90's). There isn't a single Pokemon that would ever replace Squirtle in my heart. We've laughed together, we've cried together, we've won together, and we've lost together.... I've held him so close to me for so long... ...and now he's gone...
  • BladedFalcon - April 8, 2014 6:09 p.m.

Not in any of the main Pokemon games he isn't :P And dude, your avatars is one of the reasons I recognize you so damn much XD usually because they are topical or fun regarding something recent... like your current avatar, or when you used that pedo-tastic girl featured in the Worst Box art covers article of last year XD
  • Frieza - April 9, 2014 6:31 a.m.

Thats true I guess. I have a Squirtle in Pokemon X that I haven't evolved, and I'm planning on going through the whole game without evolving him. But I also have a long history with the SSB franchise. So putting Pokemon Trainer in Brawl was a match made in heaven for me. My favorite Pokemon being in my favorite fighting franchise... It's just hard to see him go. Hell, I'll be perfectly fine if Mewtwo wasn't in the game but Squirtle is. I'd take Squirtle over pretty much anyone any day. Thank you for your kind words though. I hope to become as recognized as you or shawska or Grady_McAlistar one day, since you guys are like the poster children for the GamesRadar comment section. I think I'll need to be more active for that to happen though.
  • BladedFalcon - April 9, 2014 10:02 p.m.

...If I'm considered to be a poster child for the Comments section, no wonder it's all so barren, I'm no leading example XD
  • J-Fid - April 8, 2014 4:17 p.m.

I see Bladed and I are in agreement here. Greninja better have his (best) shiny (ever) from as a palette swap. I must play as the Black Ninja (cue epic music).
  • BladedFalcon - April 8, 2014 4:27 p.m.

Blue being my favorite color, I'm fine as it is XD But yes, what I'm hoping for is to see if they can incorporate his protean ability in some fashion... that ablity is the best thing ever :P
  • J-Fid - April 8, 2014 4:41 p.m.

As much as I love Protean too, I don't have the slightest clue how they could incorporate it. From an offensive standpoint, all it does is give him STAB on every move. No one is going to see that. From a defensive one, they don't use type advantages anyways in Smash.
  • BladedFalcon - April 8, 2014 4:56 p.m.

*shrugs* it could simply be a asthetical detail, doesn't really have to be a move or even change his moveset, but it'd be kinda cool if you could make him switch the color or special effects of his moves :P OR if they stick to his water/dark typing, it could make him switch between those two, with the dark move attacks having slightly different properties, like dealing more damage but being slower. Y'dig?
  • J-Fid - April 8, 2014 5 p.m.

I'm not seeing it, but we'll just have to wait and see on his awesomeness.
  • J-Fid - April 8, 2014 4:18 p.m.

Here's some hope for you. Perhaps he will return as a secret character. His Final Smash can be a Mega Evo., just like the others.
