After spending some time with an early build of Pirates!, it seems like almost every aspect of the game has been tweaked in some way or another. Most notably, a Dance Dance Revolution-esque timing bar has been added to the ballroom dancing minigames which should alleviate frustrations aspiring suitors had with the control scheme of the PC and Xbox versions of the game.
In addition, you can look forward to trading broadside blows with up to four players via Wi-Fi in the ship battle versus mode. This mode received a well deserved facelift with larger maps and more terrain which should be a big improvement over the Xbox version of the game.
Despite these subtle tweaks to the gameplay, we're not expecting this port of Pirates! to be radically different from its PC and Xbox counterparts. But that isn't a bad thing. Check out our review to see why Sid Meier's Pirates!: Live the Life plundered our free time and sacked our souls.
